Adopt

I ask that If you are considering adopting animals from me, that you do your research on proper care. Surviving is not always thriving. I am happy to assist in questions you may have as well to an extent. If an animal is purchased as a pet, I ask that it not be used for breeding. If your looking for breeding stock be honest with me, 9/10 times I am willing to work with you If you have goals and are willing to research and learn. If you see photos of baby rats before they are specifically labeled as available, it is because I enjoy sharing the progress litters make as they mature into young adults that will be ready for forever homes. I will /always/ get first pick. All potential rat adopters MUST agree electronically to a sales agreement before choosing any rats, I will have a physical copy brought with upon pick up.

Rats: Depending on the litter, rats will be weaned around 5/6 weeks of age, and at that time will be moved into a larger group of all ages (same sex). This provides not only continual socialization for the newly weaned, but prepares them more so before leaving our home. Rats will be ready to leave after eight weeks of age. If interested in adopting rats you have seen as available please contact me by Facebook or email in order to receive a digital copy of our sales contract. A physical copy will be brought at pick up to be signed. If there are not currently any rats available but you are interested in a future litter, contact me! In order to hold any rat(s), a deposit needs to be made via paypal. This is non-negotiable, and is 50% of the whole adoption fee. If this cannot be done within 48 hours of choosing, the animal will be listed as available again for someone else to claim. Within seven days of the scheduled pick up date, the remaining balance of the adoption fee will need to be paid before any rats are to leave.

Mice: If purchasing mice from me, I ask that they be picked up within the same week, or following week of reserving them. This is because as little as they may be, mice take up room - especially when holding back more then one or two for an adopter. Because I'm a dual purpose breeder, I wont always have the same mice by next month. That also means I will always produce more of one variety, so If I don't currently something available, check back! I ask that for multiple mice the whole adoption fee be paid 24 hours in advance of pick up via paypal.

Guinea Pigs: We will only occasionally have available piggies. If there are none listed as available, check back another time. We do not take reservations on litters ahead of time due to guinea pigs longer gestation period.

Excellent breeder! We've gotten four rats from two litters and never been unhappy. Tabitha is honest, kind, and really cares about her rats and their new homes. We wouldn't get our rats anywhere else. Our two recent rats (born around October 2016?) are cheerful, super healthy, enthusiastic, friendly and fun. Our previous two were the most affectionate sweet potatoes EVER, always giving kisses and sitting in our laps for hours. Can't recommend Tabitha and Fairly Rats highly enough! If you have any questions or want a personal reference about our experience, please feel free to pm me.

We are so happy with our little ratty girl, a hairless, about a year old. She is healthy, happy, and good with everyone she meets.
Tabitha is so knowledgeable and supportive, quick to respond, great customer service! We are getting ready for our second Fairly Rats girly, and will never buy from a pet store again!

TRACY

Such a lovely person to go through. Very nice & will answer any questions you may have. Thanks again so much for everything & for making my trip well worth it!

PAYTON

My 7yr old has been begging for a pet rat and saved up her own money from birthdays and selling eggs from her chickens to buy a pair of rats from FairlyRats and we are thrilled!!! Ask first time rat owners, Tabitha answered all 3,762 questions I asked and made our experience exciting and fun!!! The girls are gorgeous and very friendly! Thank you so much, Tabitha!

KATIE & DAUGHTER

For 7 years I've been pet less and tried to think of the type of pet that would keep me and the boyfriend happy and entertained. For a long time, I was one of those people who were misunderstanding of rats and assumed they were gross. Finally after much thought, we decided to get us our first rats!(We originally wanted bunnies, but they don't fit our lifestyles right now.) Drove 2 hours just to take home young home bred rats because if these are going to be my first pet rats, I want them to live longer and learn a lot while they are alive! And instead of driving home with 2 rats, I took home 3!
When I showed up, the breeder was very nice letting me meet the 2 baby rex top ear black berkshire females! Hahahahah Piplup let me hold her and then she pooped on me.. That's a good sign. Both were very healthy! She was very informative about the rats and afterwards signed a contract. Also adopted a 17 month old agoutti hooded female since 3 rats wouldn't hurt to have. My boyfriend was so for it when I called him to confirm. Overall I'm still happy I got to take these sweet creatures home. Every morning I wake up seeing them, after a bad day at work, and when I go to bed. They make me so happy!!! I love my lil sunshine babies. If you're looking for healthy good quality rats, buy from this lady here!!!!! Seriously!
